Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de Valparaíso, research associate and doctoral student at Duke University, and R&D engineer at Universidad de Chile. His research line is within the biomedical engineering field, and specifically he’s interested in developing computational tools and applying engineering techniques to understand nervous system function. His computational models have contributed to understand how neurons respond to electrical stimulation, a technique that is being used to treat various diseases.
